I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, I decided I should only work on wordpress based blogs, as we all know that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the GPL liberal license make the wordpress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.

Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, of course this is not a new idea, the existence of blog networks already says it all, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, in addition there is no way I can post to them, its easy to understand that the price on those networks won’t be cheap.

Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you don’t like garbage on your blogs, to put real content on your site won’t be an easy job, you have to put in time and money to build a successful blog. Some blogs are quite interesting, look at this one, Linux Service, it has a nice name, and there are a lot of interesting articles on it, though its not a theme focused blog, there are all kinds of posts on the site. One more example, Transportation Truck Tie Downs, this blog has a theme, all topics are about same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. Its easy to show more similar sites, but you should already see the point. Last but not least, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, let them get some content occasionally, just like this blog, Industrial Tools, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.

After you successfully build a few blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, this way you get your little blog network rolling. Of course its just the beginning, to build a successful network will be much more complicated, do remember don’t do any spamming tricks for your sites, if you get black listed there is no come back.
